عبر مواطنون في دول غربية عن دعمهم وتضامنهم مع المسلمين عقب الهجوم الإرهابي الذي أودى بحياة 50 مصل باثنين من مساجد نيوزيلاندا.
واختار المتضامنون حمل باقات من الزهور إلى عدد كبير من المساجد عبر العالم أفقوها ببطاقات ورسائل تعبر عن مشاركتهم الحزن والألم مع أهالي الضحايا، وباقي المواطنين والجاليات المسلمة.
وحسب ما رصدته صحيفة الغارديان » فقد غمرت مساجد بالزهور في كل نيوزيلندا على الخصوص وأخرى في كندا وبريطانيا وأستراليا وأمريكا وغيرها من الدول.
كما كانت هناك مشاهد مماثلة في أوكلاند، أكبر مدن نيوزيلندا، حيث تدفَّق عدد كبير من السكان إلى المساجد لدعم الجالية المسلمة، إلى حدِّ أنه لم يكن هناك متسع للوقوف خارج بعض المساجد. وحملت رسائلهم عبارات: « نحن نحبكم »، « نحن واحد ».
